What we collect: what you send us (business name, contact email, phone, notes) and public business information (for example, from map listings) used to build previews.

How we use it: to build and send your preview, deliver services you buy, and reply to you. We do not sell your data or share it except with service providers we need to operate (web hosting, email, payment processing by Stripe). We never see your full card number.

Free website and Google profile check (/check): to run a check, our server looks up the web address you enter and requests that page once (without anything after a "?"), so that website and our DNS provider (Cloudflare) see a normal request from the Brightstoop checker. Unless you ask for an emailed copy, we don't save the address, your answers or your results. To prevent abuse, we count checks from your internet connection for about an hour and keep a site-wide daily count. If you ask for an emailed copy, we store your email, business name, city, trade, website address, answers and the report for up to 30 days so we can send it, then it is deleted automatically. The check is automated and AI-assisted and may miss things. Email [email protected] to access or delete your data sooner.

Email: you can opt out of any message by replying "unsubscribe" or using the unsubscribe page; we honor requests within 10 business days and keep a suppression list so we do not contact you again.

Retention and deletion: preview sites and preview data are deleted 30 days after creation unless you become a customer (no payment = deleted). Email [email protected] to access or delete your data.
