Is your business easy to find and call?

A free check of your website and Google profile for home-service businesses. You get a score out of 10 and a short list of plain fixes. No email needed.

Automated, AI-assisted check. The website part is checked by software Brightstoop built with AI tools, and the Google profile part is based only on your answers. It looks at a few basics, may miss things or get some wrong, and doesn’t measure your Google ranking or predict calls or sales.

2. Your Google profile

Brightstoop doesn’t look up or copy anything from Google. Answer from what you know, or search your business name on Google or open Google Maps while signed in to the account that manages your profile.

Are your opening hours set on your Google profile?
Does your Google profile have at least 5 photos of your work, vans or team?
Is your main Google category your actual trade (for example “Plumber”)?
Is your website linked on your Google profile?
Have you replied to your recent Google reviews?

Unless you ask for an emailed copy, Brightstoop doesn’t save your website address, answers or results. To stop abuse, the number of checks from your connection is counted for about an hour. Our host, Cloudflare, may keep standard short-term request logs. To run the check, our server looks up and requests the web address you enter (without anything after a “?”), so that website and Cloudflare’s DNS service see a normal request from the Brightstoop checker. What exactly does the website part check?

We load the one page you give us (up to 3 redirects, 8 seconds and 1.5 MB) and look for: a secure https:// connection; the mobile “viewport” setting; a phone number in the page text and a tap-to-call link near the top; your trade and city in the page title; and how long our server took to get the page. We don’t run the page’s scripts, so sites built mostly with JavaScript may be checked less accurately. We don’t check Google rankings.

How is the score worked out?

10 points: 5 for the website checks and 5 for your Google profile answers, one point each, with half points for things that are partly done. If we can’t reach your website, that part is left out and you get a score out of 5 instead.

Do I have to buy anything?

No. The check is free, you don’t need to give an email, and every fix can be done yourself. Brightstoop’s prices are shown next to the fixes it offers, in case you’d rather have them done for you.
